These are some images from website They Draw and Cook, which uses a more illustrative approach to recipes, making cooking more fun. They also have a really high amount of recipes up there, so its easy to choose a recipe that fits into your budget.
Here I've chosen recipes from the pasta and noodles section, which from the survey we did was the favourite and easiest option. Pasta is also generally the cheapest option, depending on what ingredients you do with it.
It also ties back to symbols as communication, as in most of the recipes image is used in place of text.
These kind of recipe cards are ideal for both students and families, depending on the illustration used.
